  1. Paper Presentation: Papers should be submitted in for review by abstract first, anonymous examine.

  2. Poster Presentation: Poster concept to be submitted in abstract first, then pass the anonymous examine. Accepted poster presentation must be prepared in the size of 84.1×118.9 cm.

Topics for Article Contribution

 

  1. Topic 1: Discourse on Religious Heritage Conservation and Restoration

    • Exploring restoration methods suitable for religious artifacts in the Asia Pacific as different from western art restoration theories and viewpoint, so the methods are scientifically-sound, as well as locality-minded, culturally-focused, and sensitive to universal values.

  2. Topic 2: The Impacts of Disasters on Religious Architecture and Artifacts Preservation

    • Religious architecture is vulnerable to the impacts of the changing climate, environmental destruction, and manmade disasters. What are the response mechanisms to be taken to better preserve religious sites?

  3. Topic 3: Myths and Reflections on the Preservation and Restoration of Religious Sites

    • Issues concerning effective preservation and maintenance with ongoing use of religious buildings.

  4. Others: Issues pertaining to this seminar.

  • Conference Date is Thursday, December 1 – Friday, December 2 (2 Days). Two days are a full process. People who register only one day of the conference date will not accept.

  • Registration Fee: NTD$800. (If you register and participate in the conference for two full days, we will give the registration fee NTD$800 back to you after the conference.)

  • When the registration finished, you will receive an email of announcing successful registration in three days. If haven’t, please tell us by emails.

  • Participants who registered the two full day, the accommodation and meals (lunches and dinners) fee are paid by yourself. Accommodation applying through online registration finished. Please check in Thursday evening, December 1. We offer the meals in the Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum with being charged.

  • Offering water for drinking, please take water cup for self.

  • The conference follows Personal Information Protection Act in Taiwan.
